I'm stuck with what cat to race in the southerns, theres sport which is now back upto 4 laps (3 laps last year) or a new Expert cat of 5 laps (Elite have moved upto 6 laps!).
Thing is in Expert, we'd need a lot of the sport field to move up to make it work. I'm up for it, anyone else??? | |

Hello all,
if anybody was interested in my progress in this crazy event, in my own little way I kicked ass!
I finished 208 out of 760 starters and was was the 27 best placed brit. If you cant guess I am well chuffed as I was only originally planning to finish.
And yes, it was bloody hard! my feet are covered in blisters, my back has sores from the rucksack,and I am generally knackered! Other than that it was one of the best weeks of my life even if I am now a little sick of the site of sand!

| | Pre-ride of ProCup round 1 course at Mapledurham, Easter Monday
Henry Turgoose of ProCup has invited club members to try out the Green Dean Wood course at Mapledurham which is to be the ProCup round 1 on 15th April. The ride is Easter Monday 9th April at 10am in the carpark of the Pack Horse Pub on the A4074. Henry says "The course is getting better and better. Definitely got similarities with Checkendon".

Anyone on this forum know anything about the Crow Hill course for SXC rd 3 this year? XC racer website seems to be saying you guys are organising it. Is this true and if so can you tell me whether it's open for public riding outside of races? Finally, if yes and yes, can you give any pointers as to what the course will be and how to find it or (if not decided yet) maybe post the course map from last year? (I'm thinking of heading down to the New Forest over Easter and would like to try it out.) Many thanks for any help you can give. | |
