| | Ratz Races Great to see the Rampage is on again. Bummer that it is the Thur before every NPS this year.
On another note. Do you need help on the Southern XC race. I am planning on coming up and maybe doing a race, but I will be free to help on all the other races even of I dont.

| | Transwales partner wanted Hi
I am a new RAT club member, with the grand total of 1 club ride under my belt.
Any enduro people not doing Kona SITS interested in the Transwales? I'm keen, but I don't have a partner. So if anyone else is in the same boat, let me know.
Details of the Transwales at www.mtbtransuk.co.uk.
Cheers
Bradley

| | Hammond's Bridge figure of 8 interval circuit I would start by leaving the car park and heading off to Park Wood to Warm up, do 1 full lap gradually increasing speed and effort taking up your heart rate. Come down the tunnel into Hammonds and head down the old downhill course over the Camel humps. When you get level with Blobby's bank turn right onto the main track and turn 1st left.
This track now heads straight on and has been cut into the hill with the digger and leads onto the bridge where you start the circuit. Over the bridge round the berm to the right and head up the hill, take left at the next track and follow on up past the wood pile. Keep heading up the hill climbing gently now up the track towards the old DH ramp but attack this last section hard in big ring. Go as if entering the tunnel across the clearing and turn left onto the field and pick up the new track that runs back into the top of Hammonds. head down past the old plunge keeping left of the holly, there is a nice jump here then its sharp left down the hill, head down to where the log was that you had to ride over then turn left onto the track that comes down from the pit. Follow down the edge of the wood through Steve's Squeeze and turn left up the old downhill, follow up the track alongside the plantation heading for New Hill. You can get off the big ring now!
Attack New Hill as hard as you can and when you crest the steepest section you can turn left onto the new track that leads under the bridge, ease up and get your breath back here as you start climbing again the other side of the bridge. Turn left at the next junction and right at the next, this track leads up across the main track. Keep straight ahead climbing up the old slalom course, head for the camel humps and turn right to rejoin the downhill course and follow where you came in down to the bridge to start another circuit.
Try 4 circuits the first 2 weeks add one on each 2nd week so come the Rampage you will be comfortable with 6 laps. For warm down go for a steady lap round Park Wood and admire the Bluebells. | |
