Sleepless in the saddle 2005 Myself, Dan, Glen and Andy entered the Expert catagory of SITS 2005. We finished a mighty 7th *cough* out of 13 *cough*. Glen, the only runner in out team, kicked us off with the le man style run to the bikes before setting off on the first lap. We initially did a set of single laps before moving to double laps through the night so the rest of the team could get some kind of kip. when the Sun came up we were back to singles. Blighted by Mechanicals, we suffered no less then 5 punctures, 2 chain snapages, 1 bent hanger, and a brake caliper fell off. A puncture on the hair-pin in the main arena, and a Glen snapping his chain some 2 miles from the end and running with his bike back to the finish were the most notible of the machanicals! Still, even with the delays we managed 10 laps each, 40 in total, or 65 miles each, 260 for the whole team. Not a bad effort for a days work :) Full Results 27/08/2005 Paul Sheppard
